Dior Rouge Nude- Charnelle

Being a lipstick hoarder, you would think it is difficult to pick a favourite out of them all. However you would be wrong. Charnelle by Dior, is my favourite lipstick of all time and here is why.

The first thing that catches my eye is the way is obviously looks. The packaging looks sophisticated and very Dior like. The CD on the lid is unnoticeable to begin with but catches the light beautifully. Can you already tell I am in love with it?

The second thing is the colour of the lipstick. It is a stunning nude rose pink that glides on the lips. It has a creamy texture that would make you think you would have to reapply a fair few times. This lipstick however lasts a good couple of hours on the lips, give or take the fact if you are eating or drinking. The pigmentation is also very good and it is just a dream to work with.

The final thing is the smell. Yes, I do love a lipstick that smells good! Some people may be put off with a scented lipstick however this one smells beautiful and slightly fruity. It is fairly similar to the scent of L'oreal lipsticks.

All in all..this lipstick is just the job. Especially for a constant nude wearer like myself.

What is your favourite lipstick?

Feeling 12 again..

It has been years since I have been ice skating, and having the opportunity to go with a few friends a couple of days ago made me very excited..maybe too excited for a 20 year old gal. Ha!

After seeing so many kids glide around the ice at a bijillion miles per hour, I was in awe and it had made me realise how difficult it is to ice skate..my ankles are not brilliant! Still, it was a lot of fun and I had a great day feeling 12 again.

What activities have you been up to this Summer?

YSL- Rouge Volupte Lipsticks

It goes without saying, just how stunning these bad boys look. YSL lipsticks scream out luxury with their gold casing however I must tell myself, it is the product inside that really counts as to whether I like it or not.

Saying this, I love these lipsticks. They glide on the lips and they smell absolutely beautiful with their fruity scent.

The first shade I decided to buy was 13 Peach Passion. This particular one had been raved about all last year and I gave in and bought it. The thing I love about this shade is that the colour has more of a pink tone than a peach one. Which is great for those who are getting into their peach lipsticks and do not want anything too over the top. Not all YSL lipsticks tend to last on the lips for a long time, however in my opinion I believe this particular one does last for a good few hours. It leaves a slight stain which still looks flattering even after a couple of hours. But who would mind whacking this beauty out of your bag to reapply? Don't think I would.

The other lipstick I bought was shade 11 Beige Instinct. The formulation of this one is definitely different to Peach Passion. First off the colour is beautiful, I would say it looks very dark in the bullet however once applied it leaves a lovely nude lip. Like I said previously the formulation is quite different. I would say this one is more of a glaze and definitely has to be applied a fair few times.

One downfall to these lipsticks are the price. At around £24 it is definitely on the pricey side, especially if you have to keep re-applying throughout the day/night. Besides this, it wouldn't stop me from buying anymore.

Have you tried the YSL Rouge Volupte Lipsticks?

What have I been doing this Summer? #2- Leeds Festival

20th August-25th August..Leeds Festival

"Curse you Jack" has been a familar saying these past few days at Leeds festival. I think drinking Jack Daniels, Jagermeister and a hell of a lot of cider has done me right in. However memories were made this past weekend and I have had the best time with a great bunch of friends.

Despite being cold near enough the whole time, it was well worth it. Going to watch bands I have been dying to see for ages now, such as Arctic Monkeys (Alex Turner marry me already), Blink 182, The 1975, Vampire Weekend, Twin Atlantic..(the list goes on) were amazing and being part of a brilliant atmosphere topped it off. The £30 seat of luxury was also a winner, with straightners and blow dryers to use all weekend! I am not a camper...leave me alone!

Bring on August 2015! :)

Grateful Heart Tuesday- 10 Things I am Grateful for..

Being grateful for someone or something is not very difficult at all, in fact it comes naturally, however I feel sometimes I am very bad at remembering what I am grateful for and even showing my gratefulness to friends or family. Reading up on a post by Embergrey, she had inspired me to take part in the Grateful heart link up and write down a few things I am most grateful for at this very moment in my life.

I think being grateful for something can be as big or little as you want it to. Whether it is going on that de-stressful walk that day or even having a roof over your head. Like Embergrey said, everything you write down is valid. It is what you feel in that very moment.

10 things I am grateful for on this Tuesday..

Having a roof over my head and being able to sleep in a comfy warm bed.

A good cuppa

Food being in the cupboard

Having lovely friends and family of who can make me happy even when I am at my most sad

A great Summer

Being able to move into a house of my own and become more independent

Getting everything ready and prepared for Leeds Festival! Ha! What a ball ache that was! hahaha!

Having my Mum there to help me every time I need her...<3

My Nephew's that can cheer me up and even make me cry with happiness

Being part of the blog community and people actually reading my shiz.

Whenever I feel overwhelmed with stress or anything I am going to keep writing a list of things I am grateful for. However big or small.

If you want to join in with the Grateful Heart link up, write down some things you are most grateful for and link me to your blogs down below!

What have I been doing this Summer? #1- The Color Run

Sunday 1st June- Color Run day at Wembley London.

Leading up to this run I had not trained in the slightlest. "5k...oooh that will be a breeze!". Believe it or not, for a non-runner like myself it wasn't as easy as I thought. The Color Run is a 5k fun run/walk which takes place in a lot of cities around the U.K. Obviously the color run first started in America, but I'm so glad it had come to the U.K  After having missed out on the run last year I knew I had to do it this year! Instead of a normal run it involves coloured powder of which gets thrown at you at nearly every 1k you run. You also get a free pack of powder to throw up in the air once you have finished. It was possibly one of the funnest things I have ever took part in.

After travelling for a good couple of hours we got there and were amazed to see Wembley in the flesh. Browsing the Wembley shopping centre was great and we were constantly spotting people in color run tops and getting all excited. We decided to grab a good ole pre-run Nandos as there is nothing better to do before a run! Ha! The warm up was kind of pointless but it was hilarious seeing the lads attempt a bit of Zumba!!

I had such a brilliant time and everyone was so happy, especially once everyone had ran and the music festival after party was underway. It is definitely the happiest 5K in the World. 100% signing up next year.

Nars Duo Eyeshadows..

Back last year I had a slight addiction to buying overly priced eyeshadows. Nonetheless I bought two NARS duo palettes within a couple of months of each other and if I was honest I do not regret it one bit.
The first palette I had purchased from Selfridges at Birmingham's Bullring (I recommend) was Silk Road. I think out of all the palettes I had tested, this one seemed very girly and wearable for a more natural everyday look. The two colours compliment one another beautifully. I think out of the two colours the one on the right is my favourite as it has a rose gold look to it (who wouldn't love that?) and you can even wear this on its own on the lid as a wash of colour. They are both very pigmented, even the more creamy shade on the left.

The next palette I had bought was the ever famous Kalahari. This palette is very well loved and has undergone a lot of damage. (These photos were took over a year ago). These two shades are very different from Silk Road. They are much darker yet still very wearable for everyday. I love how the colour on the right has a pink/purple tone to it which makes it very pretty on the eyes. I have had so many compliments wearing this beauty! I also think this palette would be great to create a smoky eye with if you added a more darker brown or black! It is very versatile. If you are yet to purchase a NARS palette and are undecided on which one to go for..I highly recommend Kalahari.

The only downside about these palettes is the packaging. They tend to get very dusty and dirty quickly (foundation fingers would ruin it). However I do love the handy little mirror that comes in all the palettes. Saying all this it still does not put me off buying anything else from NARS. Laguna is next on my list.

What is your favourite NARS product? :)
