10 Ways to Relax and be Happy :)

My friend Rosie and I have been talking recently about how we both suffer from anxiety and how we worry about anything and everything like I'm sure a lot of us do. I have therefore created a little list of things I do to make myself relax in stressy anxious situations.

1. Light up a candle- doing this always puts me in a happy relaxed mood. My favourite candle at the minute is Turquoise Sky by Yankee!

2. Read a book- I'm currently reading John Steinbeck's East of Eden. Taking time away from the internet and having YOU time is really important. Reading also takes my mind off hassles and worries I may be having.

3. Go for a walk or a run- I have been really into my running recently. Getting fresh air and experiencing new environments has been a life saver for me over the past month or so. Realising what is really important has made me appreciate the little things.

4. Make time for your friends- having a lovely catch up with friends always puts a smile on my face. I'm a firm believer in the saying "laughter is the best medicine". Even doing activities such as grabbing a coffee or shopping can take your mind off worries and help make you more relaxed.

5. Have a cuppa- simple.

6. Watch your favourite film- whenever I am stressed or upset, I like to chuck on Frozen. Hah! Instant happiness right there.

7. Browse pinterest or read other blogs- I am addicted to pinterest lately and nothing makes me more happy than browsing the app and creating new boards! I also love reading other blogs to see what everyone is up to (nosey Rach!)

8. Clean your room- from OCD me. Tidy house, tidy mind. I know from personal experience that having a messy room makes me stressed and leaves me feeling all meh.

9. Give yourself a manicure- having a good fresh paint job on the old nails doesn't half make me happy. Even if that means changing my colour 3 times a week ha!

10. Run a hot bath- we all know bathing in bubbles is one of the most relaxing things to do!

What things help you relax?

Hydraluron- by Indeed Labs. *Offer currently on at Boots*

Hello guys! Hope you are currently having a lovely Monday!

I am one for loving the science behind things. Whether it is makeup, skincare or anything else related. This Hydraluron serum intrigued me and having heard the hype about the product I knew it was something I had to try.

Hydraluron is a serum by Indeed Labs. Indeed Labs provide many serums and skin care products to boost radiance, improve skintone etc. My skin isn't amazing and always gets dry whether it be Summer or Winter.
I thought using a product like this may help with the dry irritated skin I suffer with.

So what is the science behind the product?

Hydraluron is inspired by injectable hydration and plumping treatments in Swiss clinics. However this product has less side effects is less dangerous.

This product combines the world's purest hyaluronic acid and a bio-engineered strain of red marine algae which causes a controlled increase in blood circulation. This circulation optimises the penetration of the small particles of the acid into the key layers of the skin, which improves the skin structure.

What are the benefits for using a product like this?

It firstly reinforces the skins natural moisture which means for those with even oily skin can enjoy this product as it doesn't make your skin greasy at all.

It also reduces the roughness of the skins surface, giving the skin a silky texture.

Another fantastic property about Hydraluron is that it boosts the action of other skin care products by stimulating cell turnover to provide optimal penetration of actives.

I bet you are thinking does this actually work? If I was honest with you, I believe it does. My skin loves this product. It is fairly expensive, priced at around £24.99. A little does go a long way. Once applied to the skin, it feels like it melts straight in. The texture of the serum is gel like but leaves the skin feeling silky and smooth. There is no scent to this serum which is exciting for those who have sensitive skin and can be one to be put off by scented products.

As it is a serum it shouldn't replace your everyday moisturiser. I use this under my moisturiser morning and night and has combated my dry skin. I hope this does work into more of the colder days during the winter. I will have to keep you all updated.

Overall, I was hesitant to start using this product but it is fab and definitely worth the hype. If you can get your hands on a tube of this, I am sure you would not regret it.

You can get this product in Boots stores, near the skincare section. All information provided on the product is all on the Indeed Labs website. Link here.

Boots have just recently introduced Hydraluron's first ever moisturiser. Just add a pea size amount to your face after cleansing and is supposed to lock in moisture and leave the skin glowing. You can get it here and it is on sale for just £16.66 in comparison to its normal price (not sure how long for!). I'm so tempted to get my hands on it!

Hello August, you have crept up on all of us so quick! As the Summer is now in full swing and with all the fun Summery things I have been doing, finances are running a little low. So thought I would do some window shopping and create a wishlist!

I love A/W fashion and I am very excited to see shops stocking in their collections. The River Island floral skort is one I have recently seen in stores and have been needing it in my life since I first set eyes on it. IT SHALL BE MINE! I also absolutely love the Topshop nude heels as seen wearing by BeautyCrush

I'm still loving pastels and the Topshop baby blue jumper is gorgeous. It is currently in the sale so it is tempting me a hell of a lot!

There are also a couple of things that shall remain on this wishlist for the safety of my bank account. These include the Vivenne Westwood flats that I have tried on before and are the most comfortable flats I have probably ever put on my tootsies! The colour of them is beautiful! Shame they are too darn expensive. I also have been wanting the Mother of Pearl Pandora ring since Christmas last year and with its over £100 price tag I won't be getting it any time soon. :( Ha!

What items are on your wishlist this month?
